Sometimes I have absolutely NO IDEAS whatsoever.
This is also a future fabric release. I assume someone had an idea... the designer, surely? ... but I'm drawing a blank on this one. Creative souls, please chime in! |
What comes to mind is more of decorating a glamorous bedroom to minic the 20s or 30s! :-D
Reminds me of Audrey Hepburn and Breakfast at Tiffany's.
I spy fabrics maybe? or a backing piece to a quilt?
? Table runner maybe?! That is one weird piece of fabric!
This would make a REALLY cute spring/summer 50's inspired dress!!
Lining for a purse or tote.
Judy |
cute makeup or jewelry bag.
Margie |
I would use it in a purse...screems Marilyn Monroe to me....
I agree with Judy - a tote.
I see it as a skirt for a dressing table or possible an old style sink.
An apron.
purse, tote for beach,or a ladies quilt theme like if you make a purse quilt or purse and high heel shoes quilt theme ,or anything that has to do with a women,s theme
if you know someone that is a hair stylist, you make a table runner for her booth
zippered cosmetics bags for gifts.
Yes I agree cosmetic bag or jewelry case, but I wouldn't want it.
I see it as curtains in my daughters room. She loves old hollywood and those would definitely bring the glamorous feel. Otherwise...I dont think I would use it for anything else.
agree with lisa.. the dresser skirt would work.. also a lined basket for girlie things in the corner, table etc.. "interesting" fabric... would have trouble using it in my cowboy home!
I agree with Elisabrat, doesn't suit my cabin type decor, but I can see a "diva" quilt
I don't think I would use it.
Are those cigarettes in the fabric? That would turn me off.
i would use it, ,you can't always judge a fabric by it,s style or color but how you use it
I don't know what you would use it for, but it reminds me of my grandmother. She always used one of those cigarette holders when she smoked. I think she did so that her fingers would not get stained from the tobacco. She smoked pretty much non-stop. Funny thing, well, not really funny, but ironic--she died on one of the Great American Smoke-Out days.
I agree with RedGarnet and butterflywing.
Seems to me I saw some Audrey Hepburn fabric somewhere or was that something else? I dunno. |

good for using for one of those fabric boxes - for keeping jewellery in

Reminds me of Cruella DeVille from "101 Dalmations"

I have to agree about the cigarettes in the fabric. This really limits who would use this, since it definitely sends out a message of glamour, yet cigarettes are anything but glamourous.

Ok, I wanted to show that one fabric, separate from the rest of the collection... which is called "The Saturday Evening Post Norman Rockwell - Flirty Fifties" by Quilting Treasures. It's another "future" group.
Here's what else is in the collection. So... does it make more, or less, sense than before? |

Here are a few more:

Now it makes all the sense in the world! Myself being "Lostn51" I can relate to this era and would probably buy the fabrics and use it for a quilt project.

Great liner for a bag/purse of some kind.

All great ideals. I have a granddaughter that is a REAl diva. Using it to make some kind of wall hanging. Maybe the borders.
This would make a great quilt or lap quilt. Use black and red with the print as the third color. May want to use a little white.
I like in a purse, or cosmetic travel bag
