I believe it is called a Divided Nine Patch. Not sure;but thinks so.

I would never have been able to tell you what the pattern is but I can tell you that it is beautiful! Love the colors.

Kyia...you DO cut the D9P across, but then you add another square of contrasting fabric I did opposite corners the same to each quarter of the now cut into four D9P...then stitch and slash into two....you following me ????

No I am sorry I don't! I will have to think on it a little bit. I can usually figure it out but this has me stumped.

But the quilt is beautiful!!!

Funny! Reminds me of that email about best friends. When you are confused, a best friend will use short words and speak very slowly........

kd124 02-01-2009 10:57 AM

Izy, it is stunning! Fantastic colors and I love the border! Looking forward to your tutorial. Thanks for sharing.

sewjoyce 02-01-2009 11:34 AM

Izy -- I would love for you to do a tute also :) :)

gcathie 02-01-2009 01:10 PM

I love it to Izy.....the fabric is wonderful and so is the pattern..

johnette 02-01-2009 06:07 PM

The quilt is beautiful. A tute would be great if you have time. Thanks.

Izy 02-02-2009 07:44 AM

Thanks Johnette...

Sorry everyone, there is going to be a little delay in getting the tute made for you, as we suffered severe storm damage around our house last night....so have major clear up to do, plus my camera batteries have died on me....so please be patient with me :?

Margie 02-02-2009 08:40 AM

IZY, Sorry to hear about your storm damage. Glad you are ok.

Margie

MAXIES2 02-02-2009 08:43 AM

Sorry to hear about your storm, we all seem to be suffering from extreme weather this winter. Hope you can get cleared up soon and that you and your family are safe and warm.
Katherine

Mplsgirl 02-02-2009 08:48 AM

IZY, please take care.

Izy 02-02-2009 08:57 AM

Thanks everyone for your well wishes..we had a flash flood that has caused a landslide, the villa is built into the hillside, it brought a large section of retaining wall down and all the silt has gone right into our pool, we had a raging river flowing right around the villa last night but thankfully the villa stayed dry but I have a mud slick right around us.... ....we have had national press up here taking pictures, there are alot of folks worse off than us.....it is so upsetting, but you just got to deal with it :?

Thanks for caring :-)

sewaholic 02-02-2009 04:01 PM

Oh dear Izy - Just glad you are all ok. Sorry I'm not closer I would have helped you clean up.

johnette 02-02-2009 05:52 PM

So sorry about the storm Izzy. Hope everything ok.

sewsewquilter 02-02-2009 07:03 PM

Wish we were closer to help.

Hope you guys are ok.

Izy 02-03-2009 02:45 AM

Thanks everyone for your concerns and offers of help...trust me if you were closer I would be glad of all the help we can get :D

At least the sun is shining today...although severe rain is expected again tomorrow, so we will just have to sit it out before the big clean up can begin...I feel alot better today, the shock of it has settled. I found a report on line that says the lake in front of us received 110l itres per square metre in one day    There was also a tornado in Malaga City which is about 40 mins drive away, so we got off lightly.... :?

GOOD NEWS!!!! I got new batteries for my camera, so hope to get started on the tutorial this afternoon for you all :D :D

k3n 02-03-2009 05:06 AM

sorry to here about your troubles, your quilt is lovely, I can see this forum is going to add LOADS of projects to my already lengthy 'To Do' list!

Sorry to hear about the storm damage.

Izy 02-03-2009 12:23 PM

No probs Donfel, there isn't much we can do outside for now, so I am hopeful I will get the tute done tomorrow :D
