Turned out super cute! I have the accuquilt apple core template and this quilt suprisingly does sew together easily and quickly. I love that you did it in flannel and with your scraps! Great job!

I love your quilt, looks difficult though. Nice work. Thank you for sharing.

Delta 03-25-2013 07:53 AM

I will be more careful next time to not get some of the same color fabrics so close together. learning thing. UP close they didn't look that close in color but seeing it on here they do. thx for the comments.

Very nice, love it

dunster 03-25-2013 08:17 AM

That's lovely! I can't believe it's all that simple. Really???

Poakie 03-25-2013 08:59 AM

Very nice and isn't it nice to use your scraps. Nicer still to go shopping for more fabric.

crafty pat 03-25-2013 09:22 AM

Beautiful quilt. You did really good work.

cindy4857 03-25-2013 09:49 AM

I have to admit the apple core isn't one of my fav's but you have changed my mind. I really like how all your colors blend and bend and move. It looks like it would be happy in any room on any piece of furniture, inviting you to cop a squat and chill. Great job. Very cool.

Grandma Bonnie 03-25-2013 09:53 AM

Very Nice!! You did a great job!

QuiltnNan 03-25-2013 09:54 AM

nicely done

Very nice--thanks for sharing. One of the women at a quilt retreat that I went to brought hers to every retreat she did; people would give her a scrap to make an apple. When she's done, she'll have a quilt made from fabric from all over the world and a nice reminder of people she's met.

craftynell 03-25-2013 10:34 AM

Very nice.

Great Apple Core quilt! The bigger the Apple Core is, the easier the curves are to piece.

QUILTNMO 03-25-2013 11:37 AM

very nice that is on my bucket list!!!

owlvamp 03-25-2013 01:00 PM

Very pretty I am working on a scrappy one right now.

Luv Quilts and Cats 03-25-2013 01:07 PM

Very nice! I am doing an apple core with smaller cores, 3 inches, and sewing my hand. I find it hard but I am keeping at it. Maybe I should try the 10inch one next!

Floralfab 03-25-2013 01:09 PM

It's very pretty. I have a template for this hidden somewhere. Think I'll look for it. Thanks for sharing.

Diane007 03-25-2013 01:25 PM

carolaug 03-25-2013 01:59 PM

Grace MooreLinker 03-27-2013 02:56 AM

I like the larger size pattern, good job I need to do something like this, my scrap basket doth run over..

jmoore 03-27-2013 03:32 AM

What a great quilt but it looks harder than you say it is... at least from the photo. Thanks for sharing.

twinkie 03-27-2013 03:36 AM

That is so nice. I am sure they will love it.

solstice3 03-27-2013 04:09 AM

Love it...easy, huh?

carolynjo 03-27-2013 06:25 AM

Even with a design wall I still put some colors too close together and not notice it until it's finished. You did a beautiful job using such small pieces.

QM 03-27-2013 06:28 AM

That is sure to be appreciated. I made a 5" apple core quilt 10" sounds like a much better idea. Stash thinning is a good idea too.

Bobbielinks 03-27-2013 06:32 AM

Goodness, that is beautiful. This is one I truely intend to make someday with plaids and homespuns. I have my fabrics, directions and a smaller templete. You have certainly inspired me to get started.

ccthomas 03-27-2013 06:40 AM

Nice apple core quilt. Sounds like a plan to use the 10 inch apple core pattern. Hope I can find the pattern.

I agree totally. I just can't believe it is easy and do-able in a day.

nana2madmax 03-27-2013 06:44 AM

OK, so now I'm inspired. I also have the apple core template for the Go cutter.....will get it out today and cut away. Thank you for showing us your quilt!

Geri B 03-27-2013 10:46 AM

lovely, thanks for reminding me, I have one of those in my ufo stash..........better dig it out and finish it too!!!!!

It does look difficult, but it is not really.......the curves are gentle and just flow together......and the row seams do match up!!!

quiltmama22 03-27-2013 12:00 PM

Wow! All those curves and did it in one day! Hats off to you!

barny 03-27-2013 12:17 PM

I love it! I don't see a thing wrong with the colors. It is perfect.

Blinkokr 03-27-2013 12:31 PM

Have a Blessed day
Ellen

TheCloser 03-27-2013 12:54 PM
