There are 26 pictures (natch). I'm ready to sash them but can't decide whether to shadow box them all slightly first.

tangledthread 03-27-2011 09:05 AM

Beautiful work, I sure wish I could do that!

annieshane 03-27-2011 09:10 AM

I think sashing would really set off each square! This is one of the prettiest appliques I have ever seen! Your work is exquisite!

Maia B 03-27-2011 09:13 AM

Exquisite! Fabric choices for appliqué so clever and perfect. Definitely needs sashing, but simple will do as the blocks are stunning enough.

alaskasunshine 03-27-2011 09:18 AM

There are some stunning blocks! My favorite is the "Q" Queen Anns Lace is so lacy and gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh my you are so talented!

debcavan 03-27-2011 09:21 AM

Wow, there are not enough nice words in the whole dictionary to describe this quilt. I hope you are so proud of yourself. You deserve to be.

Beautiful applique work!!! I agree with the small sashing because your blocks are gorgeous :-) :-D

lighthouse 03-27-2011 09:25 AM

I cannot stand when I hit the enter key twice then I cannot take the second posting off. Sorry about this :-(

Candace 03-27-2011 09:34 AM

What a ton of work! Bravo.

jdiane318 03-27-2011 09:36 AM

Words are not enough to describe this quilt. Lots of hard work, excellent skills are displayed throughout, just a work of art. Thanks for sharing.

hawaiilove 03-27-2011 09:36 AM

Absolutely stunning - love your work - thanks for sharing !!

sassy granny 03-27-2011 09:44 AM

It would be beautiful any way you decided to do it. I think I would go with a narrow black frame around the blocks. They would really pop.

sweet 03-27-2011 09:50 AM

Just LOVE your work, so beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

fraydknot12326 03-27-2011 09:55 AM

Your applique is beautifully stitched! I think I'd use narrow sashing, too, matching the oval frame on the blocks.

Lv2sew2011 03-27-2011 09:58 AM

I love this little blocks, amazing job! Can't wait to see the finish quilt!

Aunt Retta 03-27-2011 10:04 AM

marilynr 03-27-2011 10:47 AM

Your work & the pattern are absolutely beautiful. This is already an heirloom quilt. Is this your own pattern?

darlin121 03-27-2011 11:17 AM

How long did it take you to do these? They are gorgeous!

RuthFru 03-27-2011 11:25 AM

Nice.......I like the design of the blocks.

nstitchs 03-27-2011 11:32 AM

shadow boxing would be great for these. You do beautiful work!

MaryKatherine 03-27-2011 12:50 PM

These are all copied from pictures from the internet.

Homemother 03-27-2011 12:51 PM

WOW!!! You've done a bang up job with these! Simply beautiful! A shadow box will give it more dimension but sashing will look good, too.

I would love to have this hanging on my wall! You should be very happy with this! Please post a pic when you're done!

MaryKatherine 03-27-2011 12:52 PM

I started this one in October. They were "carry along pieces" that i took to work etc. breaks spare time and of course home when I was too tired to quilt.

tinliz 03-27-2011 01:05 PM

Your applique is wonderful.
I challenge you to think outside of the box and do something other than regular sashing.
For instance nine patch corner stones with a triple sash or a simple pieced block like an uneven nine patch.
A shadow box would be good too.

Mariposa 03-27-2011 01:21 PM

Neat blocks!!

oma66 03-27-2011 01:30 PM

ABSOLUTLEY BEAUTIFUL!

PaperPrincess 03-27-2011 01:36 PM

Just gorgeous! I'm into plants so I was doing a 'quiz' to see if I could name them all. Did OK until I got to the X. took me a minute. Xmas Cactus. Love it!!!

rosemaynes 03-27-2011 01:36 PM

mommamac 03-27-2011 01:55 PM

You have really made these flowers come alive - simply gorgeous. Can't wait to see what you decide to do to complete it.

dove 03-27-2011 01:56 PM

OMG...that is sooo wonderful...what planning must have been involved!!...i think you should do a shadow box!!

Crlyn 03-27-2011 02:12 PM

My goodness that is some truely beautiful work, anxiously waiting to see your quilt when it's all finished.

Well done! :D

Patched 03-27-2011 02:14 PM

Love your work. I would use a green sashing.

boohoofish 03-27-2011 02:35 PM

All so lovely - pls post picture of final quilt. Its going to be gorgeous!!!!

Qbee 03-28-2011 12:16 AM

OMGosh!!! Those are incredible!! I can not imagine having that kind of talent. Beautiful! :D

clynns 03-28-2011 01:58 AM

Beautiful, tedious work. How long did it take you to do the applique after doing the letters? Did you wait to do them all at one time or just finish the block as you went? Applique is something I'm interested in, because it's the one thing that I haven't been able to teach myself.
