i think the stitches are fine, looks like good work to me

It looks fine to me. If you wanted, you could use monofilament to make the applique stitches even more transparent.

I like Sunbonnet Sue, anyway. Cute pattern, and you are doing good.

It is looking good :D:D:D
The only thing I see is to shorten your stitch length...that will help hold it down more securely.
I like to have my length set for 1.8 - 2.0 You can also try to take a few stitches, and turn very often. I drop my needle down first. You will get more rounded stitching on your edges that way

That is a cute Sue!!! I hope that I get one of yours in the swap!!! :D:D:D

ok so to shorten the stitch, mine is set to 1.5 ^^^ and 1.8 --- would I go up to 1.8 and 2.0

The baby is so cute looks so cuddly and sweet. Your block looks really nice too.

Sorry those were the settings for the blanket stitch that I am working with right now...
Your width looks fine, but I would set your stitch length to half of what you have so your zigs going over are closer together.

so they are like this ^ ^ ^ ^ instead of ^---^----^----^
that is what will keep the sides from fraying out

ok thanks so I need to lower the number? I will play with it.

That lil girl is my grand daughter she will be one to get this quilt when its done.

Good advice. I learned something, too! Going to try it out on my machine.

Lovely Quilt!
