OK here it is, I made this for Kathy N, she is my swap partner for April. I wish I could of done a better job for her. How ever I did learn to miter the corners, and once I learned I was able to finish it in 10 minutes. not like March which took me at least 6 hours. God bless. Penny

Looks fabulous! I love your fabric combination & my respect for the applique, haven't dared gone near that sort of thing yet! :D Thanks for sharing.

Very pretty-you do such nice work. I'm with salmonsweet-I'm afraid of applique. Beautiful doll quilt.

Penny, you did a very good job. The pictures show me a lot of skill going into this very pretty quilt. Good job.

thank you all very much. It is only my third project, 1 march doll quilt, 2 this april doll quilt, and the iris in the corner thingey. I know not a word, but I can't spell any way so I make my own words :D And ladies applaque is very easy, cutting out the little piece is the hardest part. Just go for it. I am learning all kinds of things with the doll quilts. but none of this would be possibale with out the wonderful ladies on the board that have sent me fabric, thread, books, 2 packs of batting, and ink for my printer so I could print things/patterns. God bless all of you. Penny

It's so pretty. The leaves of the daffodil look so real and look as if they're standing out from the block. You did a great job.

|
oh the promise of spring..so pretty...thank you for sharing..

Penny,
You are an artist! It's beautiful. I don't think you can be considered a new quilter anymore. :D Irish |
That is BEAUTIFUL!!! I want to swap DQ's with you again real soon. I love your spring-themed quilts. You have a great "feel" for color. No matter How well I think I do, I always loose the applique into the background. Just can't get the knack of contrast, or maybe I just don't plan far enough ahead (most likely). But if these are your beginning quilts, can't wait to see how you do with a few more under your belt. I've been trying to quilt for 5 or 6 years, and already you've left me behind. Great job.
