Aprons on the Clothesline
1 Attachment(s)
I made this quilt of the fond memories of my Nana and Mom wearing aprons! I remember them hanging on the clothesline to dry in the wonderful cool New England Breeze!
Oh, how precious!! The three little aprons are actually hanging on the line!! I remember my mom and grandma hanging clothes outside to dry too.
Awesome Memory Quilt , my GM. and Mother also wore them every day the only way they came off was to go to church are town, thanks for the memories.

Very pretty. My Mom always wore a housedress and an apron with a big pocket and crammed it with lots of things. She only took the apron off when she left the house.

Oh! I LOVE this quilt!! Are those real clothes pins? I remember hanging clothes out on a line to dry and taking them in after the Texas sun had bleached the whites even whiter! I wonder if my children even know what a clothes line is (was) now that we live in the city! I'll ask them today. Thanks for sharing this beautiful creation!
Oh WOW I love it and I love how you used batiks - very nice!

I love it. I have aprons my Nanny made for me and for herself. I made one for my Mom with a (dresden) turkey on it.

Beautiful! Stirs up happy memories for me too!

I love it! My grandma always had an apron on when she was at home. Ironic how they are "back in style" again. I really like how you mixed the batiks and traditional apron fabrics, and those mini closthespins are simply adorable!
Great quilt and wonderful memories.
I am a channeling my "inner Grandma" by having a line to hang clothes on and wearing aprons myself. I collect them.
Some are too fragile to wear. I love this quilt. It is a perfect modern rendition of an old cozy idea and just made me smile. |
A beautiful quilt. Thanks for bringing back the memories.
very creative....
Bravo!!! I love the originality of this quilt, and the execution is spot on!! The 3D aprons are gorgeous and I love the HST blocks behind them that mimic beams of sunlight coming through the trees. Well done!!!
Wonderful! My mother always wore an apron too.
