Art Quilt -5 Birch
 

I finally decided to make a piece to keep. So this is for my muse, my accomplice, and my greatest fan, my husband, on our anniversary. In response to his challenge, ALL the fabric were either hand painted or dyed by myself. That's too is becoming a real addiction.
From a photo, finishing out at just under 2ftx3ft.

Just stunning. How I would love to wander among those pretty autumn leaves and yonder into the lovely green fields.

Your Birch Tree fabric turned out just perfect and your scene is delicious. I specially like the tiny bush leaves in the background and the rich red ones in the foreground too.

The trees are turned applique, the small trees are placed confetti chips, anchored under netting and the red leaves are raw applique.

Thank You. the lattice work is "tiling". The biggest bang for your buck with limited fabrics.
