I've been working on this asterisk quilt on and off since January(along with 2 or 3 other projects :lol:) The happy colors have gotten me through the gloomy weather, I hope to have it finished in a couple of weeks.

I love your bright & happy colors. An unusual pattern to me & I really like it.

It was in the May/June issue of quiltmaker magazine, but the concept is simple. You start with a square, mine were 7 inches, cut it diagonally, insert a 1 inch strip of the contrasting fabric. Cut it diagonally in the other direction, insert a 1 inch strip. Cut it again in half, top to bottom, in goes another 1 inch strip. Lastly, cut it in half horizontally and add the last 1 inch strip. Then trim it up to 6.5 inches.

Now here's another one that is so wonderful & pretty I must make one of them too! I LOVE it. Never saw that pattern before. Thanks for showing us.

I'm sure you saw the link that was posted, it has a good tutorial. It's a very easy and forgiving block to make, and so much fun too!
