My cousin's daughter is getting married and I made this for the new couple. I finished it today just in time for the wedding this weekend.
DH wants me to go buy her a toaster and keep this quilt! :lol: He likes it that much!

It is inspired by her dishes-like the old Fiesta Ware only square, all bright colors with red being her main color. I only had to purchase the back and batting. The rest is all from my stash. The owner of a LQS talked me into the pieced binding. DH is taking the credit for that too-I thought it would be too much trouble. Pretty easy and I am glad I did it.

I love the quilt and can see why your husband wanted you to keep it! The colors are outstanding! I recently made a quilt and was going to give it to our niece for her wedding. My husband talked me out of it. He did not think she would appreciate all the hard work that went into it and thought it may not be her style. I kept it for us to enjoy and bought her something off of her gift registry. The funny thing is she visited recently and saw the quilt and went on and on about it!

I love the colors, they do look like the fiesta dishes. I really like the binding. I love to do scrappy binding. Every quilt I make my DH thinks it's for us and every quilt I make is pretty than the one before, according to him. He's a great supporter.

I delivered to the bride's house yesterday so I should hear soon.
I took it to work first and to show my mom and dad-they all loved it.
Mom really liked it on her bed. Sure cheered up her room.
OH Dear! I may have to make a couple more. I'm thinking Christmas gifts........hmmm. Guess I need to check my stash and see what I can come up with.

Oh My Goodness! I have to tell you the wedding was yesterday and up until about a half an hour before the start of the wedding-DH was sooooo close to getting that quilt back. :wink: Nerves hit the bride and groom big time :!: But they got through it, so now I'll have to make DH his own :lol:
