I am doing a BOM and this is my first completed block.
The central motif of each block is an Australian animal and is supposed to be appliqued and embroidered but being a painter, I found I wanted to paint my koala instead. I have used a lot of poetic licence and my block differs greatly from the class project but I am gaining a lot of inspiration and embroidery knowledge from attending the class. Stunning! Oh my you should design fabric. I want to buy a panel with Koalas and Kangaroos. Very nice.
