I made this quilt for my first granddaughter whom has not even been conceived yet.. is that not wishful thinking for a grandmother lol

raedar63 12-07-2010 03:13 AM

Beautiful,(I would use it for a boy too ;))

donna873 12-07-2010 03:17 AM

yeah, may have to if another boy comes along..I have one grandchild, a boy and he is sooo precious, hoping for a little girl next, but if it is a boy (if there are any more at all lol) he will be just as precious to me.

Such a pretty quilt. I hope you get your granddaughter wish! You can tell her this story when you teach her to quilt.

beautiful!

When I did the Grandmother's fan quilt for an expected baby, I didn't even think in terms of boy quilt -girl quilt. I chose aqua and white for the colors, and I had a lace ruffled edge. I just thought pretty, soft, and it was the pattern name that decided for me. Guess it was a good thing it was a girl!!LOL Funny, but I don't think it really matters , boy or girl, a baby quilt can be used for either, unless it is all pink!

pvquilter 12-07-2010 05:54 AM

That is gorgeous. Do you have the pattern?

CarrieAnne 12-07-2010 06:01 AM

Love the pattern and colors you used.

This is a beautiful quilt for either girl or boy and if they decide not to have no more children. would make a lovely shower gift.

pjustice63 12-07-2010 06:36 AM

That is so beautiful. Nothing seems to suit a baby better than 30's. They are so pretty.

hazeljane 12-07-2010 06:41 AM

My daughter would absolutely kill me. (I have, however, bought the fabric for my first grandchild quilt.) She says she is planning to have one child, before she is 30. So that gives her 5 years to play with.

leiladylei54 12-07-2010 06:50 AM

I'd say that's being prepared. Nice quilt.

mypatookis 12-07-2010 09:36 AM

Beautiful quilt! A grandson would be just as happy with it, I'm sure. So colorful... so cuddly.
I still have a half-made afghan, I was crocheting, out in a box in the garage... all pink. They were just "sure" it was a girl... hehe
I have 3 sons, and 5 grandsons. My husband has 3 brothers... All my friends have either daughters or granddaughters. I think I'm pretty blessed. LOVE those boys!!
