I made this quilt for my first granddaughter whom has not even been conceived yet.. is that not wishful thinking for a grandmother lol

Beautiful,(I would use it for a boy too ;))
yeah, may have to if another boy comes along..I have one grandchild, a boy and he is sooo precious, hoping for a little girl next, but if it is a boy (if there are any more at all lol) he will be just as precious to me.

It's lovely. I hope you have to give it away some day. |
How funny! But I love your quilt. I have been meaning to do one with yellow.

I had this idea too and gave the babygirl quilt away as soon as I knew that the third grandson is on the way.............
It wasnt a wishfull thinking pattern and looking at your beautiful quilt I might make also one for my first granddaughter. Granny |
Such a pretty quilt. I hope you get your granddaughter wish! You can tell her this story when you teach her to quilt.

I have the same problem, Some day I will have grandchildren Nice to know I'm not the only one.
Cute quilt! I love the old fashioned look to it.
beautiful!
When I did the Grandmother's fan quilt for an expected baby, I didn't even think in terms of boy quilt -girl quilt. I chose aqua and white for the colors, and I had a lace ruffled edge. I just thought pretty, soft, and it was the pattern name that decided for me. Guess it was a good thing it was a girl!!LOL Funny, but I don't think it really matters , boy or girl, a baby quilt can be used for either, unless it is all pink!
That is gorgeous. Do you have the pattern?
Beautiful!

the 2011 American patchwork and Quilting calendar..April. I had just got the calendar in the mail and seen this quilt and had to make it..I did a little different on the border. mine is easier lol

So pretty! Nope, wishfull thinking is what Grandmothers do best.
absolutely gorgeous!
Love the pattern and colors you used.
This is a beautiful quilt for either girl or boy and if they decide not to have no more children. would make a lovely shower gift.
That is so beautiful. Nothing seems to suit a baby better than 30's. They are so pretty.
My daughter would absolutely kill me. (I have, however, bought the fabric for my first grandchild quilt.) She says she is planning to have one child, before she is 30. So that gives her 5 years to play with.
What a beautiful quilt!!! Wishful thinking can lead to a dream come true!!!
Very nice, hopefully it will have an owner very soon.

Beautiful quilt! A grandson would be just as happy with it, I'm sure. So colorful... so cuddly.
I still have a half-made afghan, I was crocheting, out in a box in the garage... all pink. They were just "sure" it was a girl... hehe I have 3 sons, and 5 grandsons. My husband has 3 brothers... All my friends have either daughters or granddaughters. I think I'm pretty blessed. LOVE those boys!!  |
WOW you did a wonderful job of quilting as well as piecing.
