Darling baby quilt. I know how you feel. I made a scrap quilt that had just a few strings of pink but it was just too girly! But, you know someone else will just love to have it.

A very pretty quilt and since when is yellow not suitable for a little boy? If she truely doesn't want it, it's her loss and I'd give it to someone who would appreciate it. I don't think I would make her another quilt.

So sad that our nonquilting friends and relatives don't realize the amount of love (not to mention thought, planning, sewing and finishing) that goes into a custom made quilt for "their" special occasion. Good that she made her feelings known before you gave it to her - imagine how you'd feel if you found out it ended up in a garage sale or in the basement as a doggie blandet.
I'd rush right out to Walmart and get her a "blue" quilt, clearly marked "made in China".
In the meantime, I'd use this lovely quilt as a lap warmer for myself as I curl up with a good book - soothing colors.

I would put it back and maybe some day she will have a little girl.

I'm wondering... are you planning to make her a replacement quilt??

I can't beleive she is so ungrateful as to say she doesn't want a gift made with love and pride. What a shame she wasn't brought up better. It is a lovely quilt and warmth is what it's all about!!! The warmth of the quilt and the warmth it was made with. Such a shame!!!

It is pretty; however, I think it looks a little feminine.

I CAN'T BELIEVE THE DOWNRITE RUDNESS TODAY. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL QUILT AND THAT LITTLE BABY IS NOT GOING TO CARE WHAT COLORS ARE IN IT AS LONG AS HE IS WARM AND COMFY. I JUST CAN'T IMAGINE REFUSING A QUILT. OH WELL IT TAKES ALL KINDS.

I'm hoping you aren't making her a different one. I agree with some of the others.....just plain rude of her to not accept a gift because 'it is the wrong colors'. Supposed to be the thought that counts. It is a BEAUTIFUL quilt. Save it for someone who will appreciate it.
