My two day project. Started it Sat completing all the cutting and piecing Before I went to work.

Today I longarmed it and attached the binding. (Still need to do the binding hand stitching on the back.)
Longarm work is combination of computer and free motion. Animals in the center are all outline quilted.

Showing the back.

Great Job. I almost purchased that animal fabric at Walmart. However I decided to finish what I have stared first.

It's actually going to be for sale once it is totally finished. I don't have any baby that it is for. Just saw the fabric and had to make it!

Neither, it's a piece of the fabric I cut to the size I wanted. One of the grouping they refer to as patchwork. - I think. Makes for great cheater type work.

Adorable quilt! I love the baby blankest, you can see your resluts fo much faster. I have a couple question as I'm really studying FMQ right now. What kind of batting, cotton or a mix did you use? And what weight was your thread. Did you want the thread to stay on top or disappear into the quilt? The little faces outlined look so cute. Thanks!

lovingmama 01-19-2011 07:42 AM
