Backs DONE! One is 100 by 120.
5 Attachment(s)
Backs for the last two tops are done and I'm heading to the quilter this afternoon! WooHoo! VERY glad to finish the big one--100 by 120. I need a small, very small project to work on next. ;-) Pics show top--back--top--back. I tried to take photos outside but it's too windy (again!) and spritzing rain on/off. So I cleared out a table, vacuumed dog hairs, and used the family room. The last photo shows the reason for my distraction this vacation week. :o I've spent lots of time with grandgirls too. <3

Beautiful quilt, front and back! Grand-kids and baby chicks will certainly keep you busy. Two of our grand kids spent their spring break with us. I was worn out by time they left.......lol I had forgotten how teens and pre teens love to eat. They must have hollow legs.
nicely done
They are going to make great reversible quilts!
The quilts are gorgeous, and the chicks are cute!
Beautiful quilts! I particularly like the second quilt with the blue border.... that color combination really grabbed my attention.
You are doing really good work. It was nice to see the chicks too.
Great backs! Hey I recognize that sunflower fabric in the second one! :D
And look at you giving those babies roosts already! I just picked up new chicks last night but I have an easy job of it because I have a mama hen that seems to take to any baby chick I shove under her! As long as I do it in one shot. She won't accept them if try to put new ones under her one day later. She is a bantam though so it is pretty hilarious in a few weeks when the chicks are almost as big as her and she still broods them. |
VERY nice!!!
Awesome quilts, love those baby chicks!!!
The backs are as pretty as the fronts!!!

Having a hen raise these babies would be a whole lot easier for sure! We hope to have them in their coop after the next cold spell. How many chicks did you get? What kind? Hmm--should we talk about this in messages? lol |
Oh my gosh - these are gorgeous. I actually like it when the backs are so nice that my gift recipients can't decide which is their favorite!

I've really enjoyed watching your progress on these gorgeous quilts. Please post again when they have been quilted!

Lovely quilts! And bet those chicks keeping grandkids and you busy, too. I am the coodinator for a raffle quilt that is 96x 106 and it's like working on a ship's sail! EVERY thing you do is large and heavy! Good job on yours!

Very nice quilts and backing.

Nice quilts...and I love your backings.
woohoo is right... you did a beautiful job on both and I'm sure the larger one was quite an undertaking.
It must be spring... those baby chicks are adorable, too bad they don't stay that size for a while. |
I like both quilts, very pretty. The chicks are cute! Glad you got to spend time with grandchild, they are precious no matter what the age!
I love what you have done with your quilts.
Your quilts are awesome! I especially love the second one.
And, oh, the baby chicks are so much fun. Have you named them? |
I can see why you want a simple small quilt next. Sometimes we need to be kind to ourselves : ) Both are gorgeous with great color placement, and reversible too. Those chicks are adorable. Take a break and enjoy them and the grandkids for a few days and you will be revitalized.
Wow!! You have been a very busy lady. Great work.

Just gorgeous.

Your quilt tops and back are beautiful. I'm sure you and your grand daughters had fun with new baby chicks. I grew up on a farm and I remember when we would get baby chicks and even going to the feed store for feed and playing with the chicks. So many wonderful memories of growing up on a farm even with 5 older brothers and 1 older sister that loved to tease and taunt; but I loved them anyway.
Looks great! You sound busy.
Interesting fabric
Delightful quilts! I particularly like the second one.
Love the fabrics you used.
Wow. The backs are almost as beautiful as the tops. Really nice job.
