Baker’s quilt
5 Attachment(s)
Our nephew and his wife recently welcomed a baby girl into their boy-filled home. We got some input from his wife and this quilt is the result. It’s Eleanor Burns’ Quick Trip and measures about 42” by 52”. It used six fat quarters plus borders for the front and just under two yards for the diagonal seamed back. I started quilting it with a pretty variegated thread, but kept getting thread breaks on the top. I switched to my old faithful Connecting Threads essential on top, but left the variegated in the bobbin, and didn’t have any more trouble. That will be a little secret we don’t share with the kids. They will have to look pretty hard to figure it out.
Thanks for looking. |

Great looking quilt! I love the backing fabric, too.

Super pretty! I don't always enjoy 'trip' quilts, but in these florals - well it's just so cheerful! Lovely!

Really pretty quilt.

Very lovely, I will have to look up the pattern. I've done trip around the world (scrappy, by Bonnie Hunter) but like how yours turned out with just 6 fat quarters. Thanks for sharing.
