Bali Pop quilt

2 Attachment(s)
Hi all,

First time I've posted here in a long time, as I took a break from quilting for a little while. This my second full-size quilt completed, made using a 'Green Tea' Bali Pop, and the 'Pandora's Box' pattern from one of the jelly roll books by the Lintotts. It was good fun to make - I loved the bali batik fabrics. FMQ is a bit wobbly in places, but the more practice I get the better, and I'm happy with how it came out overall!

I called it 'Bamboo Garden' on the label, and it's around 53" x 77" altogether.

It's going through the washing machine now as I type, with three colour catchers in for company. I've always prewashed everything before, so I'm really hoping it comes out ok!

It so pretty and cozy! Excellent job on the FMQ. I applaud anyone who takes steps to FMQ! We are our own most critical judges and notice every wiggle and jiggle, so be gentle on yourself! I love those hearts! Keep it up! I hope to see more beautiful projects from you!

I'm happy to say that it came through the wash no problem with the colour catchers. I have a front loading machine and used 'Dylon' brand catchers, as they're the ones that seem to be available in the UK. Not sure if they're the same as the 'Shout' brand ones or not! I think I would have gotten away with only using two, maybe even one, as although the catchers were dyed, they weren't dyed as deeply as I expected.

It's hanging up to dry now, nearly there. Can't wait to use it! :)
