Finally at the quilters can't wait to have it back to see the final result. I am sorry Peg is no where to be found to see the result of her hard work over the last 12 months with this project BOM I just hope all is well with her and her Family. Where ever you are Peg a big thank you for this challenge I enjoyed every stitch and looked forward to each month. So now i just have to find another project.

capucine 02-22-2012 06:27 AM

Oh no machine quilted at a cost of $450.00 AUS $ I know I know ! DH is rolling his eyes and lifted his eyebrow when He asked about the cost :) I justifying the cost by telling myself I am working children left home and I can afford it :) I am also taking him away for a couple of days just to justify my expensive hobby LOL. I have been saving for it for the last 12 months, I think it's worth it. Don't you? Please say yes :)

I'm wondering if it wouldn't be cheaper to send it to someone in the US, like charisma? even with postage it wouldn't come to $450...WOW....

ptquilts 02-23-2012 10:19 AM

yes but would you want that beautiful quilt traveling all over the world at the mercy of shipping services? I know I wouldn't if it was mine!!

nycquilter 02-23-2012 11:13 AM

very lovely. I'd love to see another pic when it's quilted. I am almost done with a Patricia Campbell Jacobean applique quilt and am ready for ideas.

Something that beautiful, that you put that much work into, deserves to be done right! Hubby will just have to deal with it!

Your husband will be so proud of your work on that quilt when he sees it finished that he'll forget about the cost. Just don't keep reminding him! Over the years, my husband has seen the work go out to be quilted and I never told him the cost, as I had my own savings. He even wants to go to a quilt show with me today because he "likes looking at the quilts." HA! I think he likes all the attention he gets!

littlesurfer 02-24-2012 06:18 AM

Your quilt is absolutely beautiful...you did a wonderful job putting it together. I have all the blocks done on mine...just have to get it together sometime. Looking forward to seeing yours when quilted.

hairquilt 02-24-2012 06:29 AM

Oh yes, thats a lot of money but your quilt is beautiful & deserves a professional quilting job! You will have it to admire for years to come!!
