Banner quilt for church
1 Attachment(s)
I was asked to make a banner for church. We have a banner committee of 2 ladies and neither sews or crafts. They order screen printed banners from a catalog. I am a little nervous that this will not be what they expected, although they did ok it before I started. It is a SAS and is on pinterest and the internet, only in purples. Due to the liturgical church calendar and when they want it to hang they requested greens. I am tired of green at the moment. Ready to load it on my LA and get it done. Thanks for looking!

Sorry, I don't know how to turn this, it was upright on my screen and I chose small for the size.
Wonderful banner!
Wow, it's gorgeous!
Beautiful banner!
That is so much better than a screen printed banner! I predict they will want to use it all year. (Or ask you to make another, and another, and another...)
Very nice! I love the secondary pattern!
Beautiful job!! |
You did a fabulous job. I agree with Dunster that you will be asked to make more banners.
Oh my goodness....this is wonderful!! The greens are gorgeous in this pattern. Eyes will be drawn to it, which is exactly its intention. I'd say you scored huge on this!!
very nicely done
This should be a well-received banner for your church. It's absolutely gorgeous!
Beautiful, it is so much better than screen printed premaid banners. You will be asked to make more.

So you don't get a kink in your neck. I find it so annoying when pics post sideways. If you click on it, it is straight. I am attaching this pic from another site, hoping it works. Fingers crossed. I appreciate all the nice comments. Thank-u

Absolutely beautiful and perfect for a church setting - makes me think of the story in the Bible of Jesus calming the storm at sea. Nice work!
Wow, that is absolutely gorgeous!!!!!!!!!! You did a wonderful job on it. It's the most beautiful one of its kind I've ever seen :)
That is lovely , the ladies and whole church will be impressed
Absolutely beautiful for a church banner. I cannot help but think about the Sea of Galilee. When we were in Israel there was a storm on that sea. My opinion: perfect in every way. I hope your church family will enjoy it.
Absolutely beautiful and very meaningful church banner. Love it! Kelela

Fantastic job well done
Lovely- how could anyone think otherwise.
Very good use of storm at sea blocks. I love green but I hear you.
Absolutely beautiful!
In our denomination, green is the most used liturgical color of the church year. The purple is used only during the Lenten season. Your banner should be well used in church. I'm sure this banner will be much appreciated for many, many years. Excellent!! |
I always love storm at sea, but with a cross it is truly amazing. I wish I had made this pattern for my Dad, who recently passed. He would of loved it, being a seaman. The church will sure delight in this quilt, it is impeccably gorgeous and it speaks volumes of what the cross is about.

It is beautiful. I hope they appreciate bnbit.
