A very nice mistake indeed really pretty :D

Maria, tell Barb that is a SuperKool effect she has created. Just think how different colored threads would look, even on the same color fabric. Come on Barb, join us here.

Oh poo, I did about an hours work on a quilt , backwards just like that.
but then noticed, after looking at the other block, that it was wrong, so I unsewed the whole thing and did it over the right way. I guess its true that there are no quilt police and I could have left it in, I love the look, it looks like the design is radiating. Woohoo, next time it wont' be a mistake. |
I will need to remember this new stitch. its Beautiful !!
|
I saw someone on Simply Quilts do this years ago. She used this stitch, as well as some others, to outline specific parts of flowers and leaves. It made them look much more realistic. She did it on a fun, jazzy looking quilt also, where it looked awesome (like Jacobean appliqué). I think it's a wonderful stitch. One can really outline appliqué with any cool/nice looking stitch and it gives the entire quilt more interest. I've seen some interesting, beautiful tops while longarming!
Good for Barbara for figuring this one out :) |
I love it, especially around flowers. Great Job. Join us, please, Barbara!
