No simple nine patch for you, eh? You'd never know you hadn't been quilting for years with this masterpiece. Beautiful job. It should get many 'oh's and ah's' at the show.

I pieced this Bargello at the end of 2009, I had only been quilting for 6 months (nothing like diving straight in LOL :D ) but I lost my nerve when it came to quilting it, so it sat in the cupboard since then. It's been a pretty long and cold winter here so I thought it was about time I conquered my fear and gave it a go. I quilted it along the diagonals of each square to give it movement. I am happy with the result and DH talked me into entering in my guild's annual show next month, don't think I have a chance but it will be pretty cool to see it displayed there :)
