Bargello, finally finished
 

I pieced this Bargello at the end of 2009, I had only been quilting for 6 months (nothing like diving straight in LOL :D ) but I lost my nerve when it came to quilting it, so it sat in the cupboard since then. It's been a pretty long and cold winter here so I thought it was about time I conquered my fear and gave it a go. I quilted it along the diagonals of each square to give it movement. I am happy with the result and DH talked me into entering in my guild's annual show next month, don't think I have a chance but it will be pretty cool to see it displayed there :)

Awesome quilt and it is already a winner, but the first place ribbon would really be the icing on the cake as they say. I love the color combination. I still have not been brave enough to start one of these but you just may have given me some inspiration.

I love it. I would vote for 1st place ribbon on this one. The color choice is great!!!! I wish I had the nerve to try one of these but I would get my pieces all mixed up and it would be a horrible mess. Your's is great. Love it
