Well the "organization" (making assembly charts on the computer, "simplifying" instructions for myself, and making a shopping list took a few fun days. Then pleasure of shopping with gift money at Fabric Depot for all 16 fabrics. Pre-washing and starching and pressing all the fabrics and cutting into strips. Preparing numbered fabric sample boards. All this took almost as much as the assembly! But I enjoy that part just as much. All in all it was about a month and I don't sew for hours every day. Thanks for asking!

Beautiful. I hope to make one of those in the future.

ManiacQuilter2 09-06-2015 02:20 PM

Very nicely done. You did a terrific job. Once you get the hang of it, a Bargello is not that difficult. I think the black binding is going to be your best choice.

just_the_scraps_m'am 09-06-2015 04:11 PM

those colors sure are right for its name! Wow! What process do you use to choose your colors? Design board? OR?

joyful1 09-06-2015 04:47 PM

Well done!!! Love the colors!

Kitsie 09-06-2015 05:08 PM

Thank you everybody!! After all your compliments I can see that the only thing I could name it is "WOW" !! I agree!

The thanks should go to the designer, Derek Lockwood. When I first saw the pattern I had that exact WOW reaction. The pattern even had the suggested colors and fabric line.

redquilter 09-06-2015 05:18 PM

Gorgeous! A wonderful selection of colors.

joyce888 09-06-2015 07:28 PM

4dogs 09-06-2015 09:19 PM

Wow, that is beautiful. So energetic!

coopah 09-07-2015 04:49 AM

Oh, that is just scrumptious!! Thanks for explaining how long the top took from start to finish. I admire people who make these quilts...they look so difficult.

twinkie 09-07-2015 04:52 AM

Bright and beautiful. Did you find it difficult? I have wanted to do one of these for a long time but am afraid to tackle it. Yours is so nice.

nwm50 09-07-2015 06:02 AM
