Love it!
I would like to get my DH to do one of these. Are there any instructions anywhere on the board. What it's made of, what kind of paint, etc?

Yes, you can get paint markers in the paint section of many stores...they come in several colors and those lines hide a lot of little mistakes...lol

I am going to do one for the east side of my house. I don't have a barn. Hubby is going to help.

Making a barn quilt is on my list. I am going to put it on my garage. Don't have a barn. I also saw a barn quilt painted on the garage doors. I think they can be put anywhere. Also seen them on a fence.

That is really beautiful, love how colorful it is.Is there a book how to do this. We do have a farm, actually my brother but he calls it "family" In my own way I'd like to feel that way. Guess I'd like to know if you paint it on canvas and then mount it like a picture and how do you protect it from the elements...like Mi Guess I should have read more of the post, thnx again :)))

B Jane 09-30-2011 08:47 PM

Ooooooh! Love your bright colors and pattern. I've gotten lots of comments on my barn quilt since it went up about a month ago. Great job!

I did mine on a 4' square of plywood, used lots of painters tape, and several coats of exterior polyurethane.
