Barn Quilts of Neversink (N.Y.)
 

My husband and I took a motorcycle trip overnight to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. He loves to ride and I love quilts AND HIM. Not many husbands would chauffeur their wives around looking at quilts, but he loves them too. If you ever have the chance to do one of these 'tours', it's really fun and amazing. There are 3 routes with a total of 75 quilts to be enjoyed. You really need eyes in the back of your head to find them all, but it was worth all the stopping and turning around to get the pix. Google barn quilts to find out where they are. There are also some in LeRoy, NY. Took tons of photos, but here are a few of my favs. The rural scenery was just beautiful, as was our B&B in Margaritville, and the weather was perfect!. We were the only patrons and had the entire place to ourselves! Oh that's so cool! We have some family in Rochester, maybe we'll take a little detour next time we go up for a visit!

very neat! There is a website you can post them on. Have too google it, haven't been to it in awhile.

Reminds me of a B&B in Elkader, IA that we stay in the fall, along the Mississippi when the trees turn colors....!

Beautiful Victorian house but the lounge chairs remind me of Pepto-Bismol!!

Wow, they are so pretty but I LOVE the Dresden Plate. That must of been fun.

The quilts are nice but oh, to just sit and relax on the large wrap around porch on a warm summer afternoon with a glass of lemonade and a good book.....Heaven! Then as the fire flies begin to twinkle, a cup of tea and good friends and conversation! Peaceful. What a lovely place to spend an anniversary.

The barn quilts were all wonderful and what a beautiful B&B, such a lovely house, it just says "Welcome, come on in and set a spell".

So funny to see this post and photos. I live between the quilt trail in Neversink and the B & B in Margaretville. I am south of the Ashokan Reservoir off of Rt 28. I think it is beautiful scenery. Glad you enjoyed it too!

Nice barn quilts. I was in Kentucky during the July 4 holiday and also saw many barn quilts. I didn't even think to do pics. I was just having fun seeing all of them.

I wanna' go there! Beautiful home for a B & B and great barn quilts. We celebrated 49 years on June 5th.

You saw some great quilts. I remember the first time I saw a barn quilt. It was in Iowa where our son lives. They are truly amazing.

Thanks for the pictures, what a special trip for you and your husband. We did something similar in our Miata snd after awhile it was who could find the block first, we are both competitive lol.
