Bonnie, Each block was quilted individually. Then I use a heavy foam board and center the block around that and place the block in its window. . I use a staple gun to attach the block to the back. After that, cut a piece of thin subflooring, I suppose poster board would also work to cover up the back. Add hangers and your all set. Feel free to pm me if this is not clear. Try to get a window with almost square panes, you can add sashing to your block to equal it out to the size of the pane. That's what I did.

Thanks, now all I need to do is find a window !! My son replaced all of his but I asked too late to have him save me any....

How neat to still have a window that is 130 years old and then to reuse it in such a creative way....love the way you preserved a piece of your family's history. thanks for sharing!
