This is beautiful! I never would have thought of borders made with charm squares! Awesome job
Very nice, great job !
Very nice quilt. What kind of fabric was the troublesome one? I think Kona is about the safest for background purposes.
I'm not sure what the background fabric was, it's in a BOM from Fat Quarter Shop. gonna email them and find out. I thought it was Kona, but usually don't fray like this one is. I have trimmed so many times and have to do it all again.
Is "basket of scraps" the name of this quilt pattern? I really like it and I have a bunch of 30's fabric lift over from another quilt that I could use for this.
what is the block with the blues and purple? looks like heart with a top. makes me think of an acorn...
So pretty!
Very pretty, good job.
Love your colors, love the pattern. It's a gorgeous quilt! You did a great job. Sorry you had so much trouble with that white fabric.
It's appliqued, have to check the name.

Yes it is, mine was the BOM. I emailed the company about the background fraying so much all they said was sorry about that??

Thank you.
Sooooo beautiful!
It's a beautiful quilt

So they never told you the brand name of the backing fabric? Even when you complained so you won't order it again? Was it on your invoice? Do they realize your only option now is not to order from them because there is no way to avoid this "unknown" brand of fabric? Sorry for your poor customer service experience. I can remember to avoid the Fat Qtr Shop. Thanks for sharing.
Congrats on the lovely finish! :)
Nice quilt.
I have done so many BOM's with the Fat Quarter Shop, this is a first for me for the fraying. I love the quilt.

Sorry about your fraying issues but your quilt is lovely...colors ar wonderful and the pattern looks like it was fun to piece. I have not done a BOM project but you did a fantastic job.
Love it! Shows dedication and planning!
I am usually disappointed in my quilts. Have wanted to take them out and cut them in tiny pieces when all done. Never have done it tho! After I give it a chance to be noticed again, I most always like them! Mariah |
Thanks everyone.
