I love it! I made a doll carrier 20 years ago,using one of the fruit baskets with a handle. It worked great too. Aren't we grandmas talented when it comes to our grands? And arent we just so very blessed to have them?

I found a similar pattern in a book called "Applique for Little Ones." I lengthened it to fit a bigger doll and if I were to ever do it again, would make the strap wider. I did mine in 2 coordinating shades of pink.
