Batik applique and piecing

Just love Batik fabrics, and have finally found how to machine applique to my satisfaction using satin stitch, so thought I would try out a small wall hanging. For the pieced blocks I used paper piecing, another one of my fav methods. Here is the semi finished product and I am reasonabily pleased with the result.

Absolutely fabulous! Love everything about it. Can't imagine it in anything but batiks now. Don't know why anybody would not like batiks a some have said.

Your batik choices are beautiful, and the applique work is great. (I haven't begun to think of tackling that much work!)
