Fabulous bag!!! And your button is wonderful - where did you find such a gem?? Who needs to wait for a pattern??? Not you, obviously! You did great :) So sorry to hear about your job - prayers for the right door to open for you soon.
Blessings, s |
Your bag is so beautiful, and very classy looking. I would try for a sell at that price someone above mentioned. I too am so sorry to hear about your job. I said a prayer for you for things to work out.

Your bag is so pretty! Hope the job situation is better soon.Know it's a downer after yrs at same work.

Terrific bag, great job and thank you for sharing
Have a Blessed day Ellen |
That is the prettiest bag ever, and there have been some beauties posted here! I cannot wait
to try this method. I make mug rugs out of the clothesline method, and that approach is great for that project, but I believe the batting would be more user friendly for a purse. Just beautiful! You have inspired me! |
Love your bag, I have not been in the bag making mode as yet maybe one day. Yours is lovely and sorry to hear about your lay-off but glad you have your sewing to keep you upbeat and busy.

Really like your bags, I enjoy making totes. Sorry about your job, I totally understand what you are going through and feeling, I received a Friday morning call 3 weeks ago (I got a call because I worked from home in a different state) and was told that my position was being terminated - after 14 years also. Totally from out of left field, no indication or advanced warning. In fact at the end of June I spent a week at a conference and was being scheduled for another one in Nov.
Sorry about your job. I love the bag!
God bless you in finding another job! Love the bag.
Is there anywhere online for the batting method. I love yours. Very pretty.
Pretty bag, best wishes with the job situation.

Your bag is beautiful. So sorry to hear you have been laid off, when I was laid off I headed to the sewing room and was very productive. Quilting is my therapy when life throws me curves, and when I'm dealing with other stresses in my life. It's great therapy and my time is put to good use.
A great bag. Catches my attention.
That's a GREAT bag! Love the colors -- and I think I like it better than the clothesline method. I need to try one of these soon. You're right -- no one would appreciate the time spent :(
Love the bag. You did a fantastic job. Great colors too. So sorry to hear about your layoff. I pray that you find another comparable job quickly. Thanks for sharing. Going to have to try this one for myself too.
Wonderful bag! Great colors and button. I can't wait to see the black and white one. Good luck with your job search.
Sorry to hear about your job, but at least you have something fun to do. Great job on the purse.
Just a thought, why not start a blog and put these items on there for sale, there is Etsy and there is Pinterest, and there are even free websites, although I prefer the blogs better. Just a thought, you have a lot of talent.

Beautiful!

Gorgeous purse. Didn't know about the clothesline method.
Great bag. I like the dark on the bottom and the light on the top. It makes it so visually pleasing.
Very nice bag.
Beautiful bag and the button is just the perfect finishing touch!
So sorry to hear about your lay off. I will keep you in my thoughts and hope you find something soon. I have been where you are now, don't let it get you down. Something will come up. |
Love the bag, so different ....

Your bag is just beautiful. As someone who was also layed off just before 10 years, may I give you just a quick bit of advice? Take some time and be angry...feel sorry for yourself, blame everyone you want and need to, let the unfairness of it surface, realize businesses are not anyone's friend right now and after a SPECTACULAR 15 minutes of full spectrum everything, drop it. Lay it to rest. Get rid of it and don't allow negative thoughts back in. You never know what God or the Universe has in mind for you...but it's clear you and all who have been taken out of where they were, are needed somewhere else. The more peaceful you are about this process, the better your energy will come across in your interviews and the quicker you'll be led to where you need to be. My lay-off was the greatest gift I've ever received! Thinking of you with smiles. Go make another bag...they're great.
I'm sorry to hear that you were laid off from you job. It's hard anytime, but it's hard to get laid off after 14 year....have been there myself. Hopefully you will find happiness in whatever you decide to do. Absolutely love the bag - both the pattern and your choice of fabric.
omgosh. That is beautiful. I really need to learn to make these. Do you mind saying where you got the button? If you did, I missed it.
It's wonderful that you have reacted to the nasty turn in your life by doing something so creative and beautiful.
Sorry to hear about your layoff. I went through that too...and now I work from home and am so much happier! Good things will come your way soon!
Your bag is gorgeous! :) |
