so, you are doing free motion with foot presser way down, and feed dogs up....why does this work for you? Sounds like an interesting idea....

Sorry to hear about your friend, it's hard to see someone you love going through that. He will love his new quilt.
I bought a kit just like that and started working on it this summer while at a retreat, I didn't get very far on it though, I found I really needed to concentrate on it, and a retreat isn't a good place for me to have to concentrate..lol
One of these days I need to get back to working on it, and when I do I hope mine turns out as nicely as your did!

That is such a lovely quilt, nicely done and I am sure will be greatly cherished.

OMG, OMG, OMG!!!!!!! I just finished a top just like this last night at about 1 a.m. as a baby quilt for one of my friends from church. I had lunch with Amy Walsh a couple of weeks ago and she gave me this pattern and I couldn't wait to start it. I am hoping to quilt it today. This is such a conincidence!!! I didn't use batiks, but I used blues and greens from my stash. Can't wait to post a pic. Did you quilt it yourself???

charismah 10-27-2010 07:07 AM

You have a great eye for putting colors together - it's a beautiful quilt. As a cancer survivor, I can tell you that such a gift from the heart will be appreciated more than you can imagine - plus keep him warm during and after any treatments he has.
