This wall hanging is paper pieced; the pattern was from an old McCall's from 2009, called Jeweled Forest. I guess it was meant to be a Christmas project, as it was in the Nov/Dec issue and hanging over a table that had a bowl of tree ornaments. But I love it so much that it is going to hang year 'round. I used batiks in the trees and borders, and their backgrounds are an assortment of tone-on-tones of white, cream and tan.

I've made Jeweled Forest too...such a eye-catching design. What about changing up the color scheme for spring, fall and winter? That might be cool too...hmmm....always thinking....lol

As much as I love this pattern, I'm too old to start making something twice, too many things on my "quilting bucket list" LOL

Love that quilt. I am also making (or have been) this quilt,but have put it on the back burner for a while. Need to restart it, but just have too many other projects going on. Need to restart though. Thanks for sharing and reminding me of this. Beautiful quilt.

That is really very nice. I am just now learning to paper piece the Judy Niemeyer way. Guess there are many ways to do things just like everything else.

Looks great. I got my pattern out the other day 'cause my guild is doing a batik 2.5" strip swap and I have all sorts of jewel toned batiks to use. Glad to know someone else got it made!

OMG! I've always LOVED this pattern but yours is THE most beautiful I have EVER seen! Not only would I keep it out year-round, I think I'd find a way to hang it out my car window so everyone around town could see it, too... LOL! Wow! Repeat after me... stunning!!!
