Quilters Cache has a pattern for one like yours, but not one that I could find with the square in the middle. Thanks for sharing. Did you prewash the fabric? Did any run? That's a pretty braid. Love the pastel blue framing it.

I didn't prewash. I washed in cold water with four color catchers. I am keeping it so am not worried about how it will be washed. I did hold my breath when I opened that washer. LOL! Quilting Bug (I believe) has a pattern for the braid pattern you are looking for. It is for a table runner but you could just keep going. I have to go to work but will research when I get home.
