Batik Quick Quilt
 

A friend and I just finished this lap quilt as a chemo comfort quilt for a close friend.
We used a dark purple minky for the backing.
We found the pattern in the Feb March 2015 issue of McCall's Quick Quilts.

Jelly roll question for Quick Batik quilt
 

The pattern called for fat quarters which worked well. I did use some batik full width yardage I had in my stash also. The strips were 2.5 inches wide and about 20 inches long. Perhaps a jelly roll might work also.

I'm going to have to look for that issue again. Love the colors you chose.

Love your many bright colors, and the simple pattern is really quite effective. I don't think that simple is at all bad (most of my quilts are quite simple ;)
