I think your quilt is just wonderful. I would like to make one like it. The colors and the patterns in the fabric go so well together. Beautiful.

I love your bright colors  I know you said you didn't want it busy but if it were mine I would do a thin black inner border then I would use the fabrics in the quilt, pink/green and make piano keys and finish it with black binding. Or I would make prarie points for the inner border in black and use pink or green which ever is her most favorite color for the next border, and bind it with black. Either way you have made an adorable quilt for your DGD. She'll love it! :-D

I'm thinking a small white border would frame it nicely. Then add another border a little wider in the favorite pink or green. Sandy in INDIANA

hi, fellow okie. love the quilt. you have received some great suggestions, but here is one more...why not cut 2-1/2" white for inner border and 3" to 4" black outer border and bind with black. the white would finish 2" and black would binish 1/2" less than cut size. i think it would really set it off. love it. where in okla are you located? you can pm me if you wish.

I would do a tone on tone cream or pale green border like a real watermelon has, then a dark green binding... also like a real watermelon.
