Contemplating border or no border? Black, green or pink? Planning to put black binding on it.
I would use a narrow border and a wider outer boarder. Not sure what colors, but the borders give the eye a place to rest.
border would depend on what finished size, but I would vote for a green border with black binding
skinny black then a wider of your favorite (pink or green)
it would also help tie in the black binding. I would be happy to give this one a home when you're done with it!! |
I want some melon!
I think small black then pink.
Love the quilt. |
yum!
I agree with the purple turtle.
This one is going to my granddaughter. Her room colors are watermelon, lime green and black. So that's how I came up with this. It went really fast and was the most enjoyable top I have made.
I think I'd go with a narrow black border, somewhat wider pink border then use the green for the binding, to complete your watermelon look.
Really pretty quilt! |
Love it.
No border, black binding.

Good suggestions, everyone. I like Mom-6's idea. May go with that one, but still debating. I want it to be just a little wider but it is long enough so don't want to get too wild with the borders.

Oh she is going to love this. I like Sharon's idea of a dark green border and then black binding.
I love it.
That is sew cute and DELICIOUS!!! Your DGD will love it!
I would like to see a border or two added to this one. It is beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

I agree with this - need a narrow black first, other wise if you use the pink or green first it will bleed/continue with the like colored blocks.

Beautiful quilt
Very pretty I love the colors! :!:  ;)
it almost has an Hawaiian flavor.
No border, black binding.
Hey Johnette really cute quilt. Love your colors. I think small black and wider pink with black or the green binding.
Really cute!
I like the idea of a black border with either a pink or green binding.
Very nice!
I would just go with a black binding. That is the perfect name for that quilt.
Love the bright quilt! I vote a small black border, then a bigger pink one~
I would put a black border on it to bring out the black in it. I think borders frame a quilt - like a picture frame does a picture.
I agree with the thin black border.
Very nice. Hard to say which color you should pick.. How about a very light pink that you find in the pink colors of the flowers?
