I thought a cheater cloth was something that was already made to look like a quilt and you just did the quilting. I sewed none of that together, just used it to practice quilting stitches?

gosh, yes! your stitches make me :mrgreen: with envy.

it just occurred to me ... why do we call pre-printed quilt tops "cheaters", but don't say the same when we piece our own tops, but have somebody else do the quilting? :roll:

don't both phases require skill, care and a lot of attention? and isn't it great that we can divide the labor according to our own preference? i, for one, hope to someday piece a top worthy of the "jacquemoe" touch. ;-)

no cheaters here. just a whole lotta smart quilters. :P

Very nice quilts. I think the so called cheater quilt is a wonderful to practice stitches - and they look great. May have to try that.
