Braid quilt. The quilter wrote she couldn't bear to cut the leaf fabric so she made this quilt which showed it off A close up of the leaf fabric, she machine quilted around every leaf! |
The show was great. I accidently deleted the pics of my own quilt tumbling tabbies but you guys have already seen that one. It just looked so nice hanging there I am sorry I couldn't include it as well. I didn't win any ribbons but that was ok I had a great time and really enjoyed chatting with some people who were admiring my quilt.
There was a long arm vendor there and just damn I WANT one of those!! The brand was called Innova and they are made in Texas. What a nice machine for a great price! I have a CD maturing next month that would just cover it! Tentatively asked DH and all he could say was "that's a lot of money". I don't think he wants me to get it. I am sure he is probably right in today's economic climate I should probably hang on to that cash and just start socking away savings for the longarm. It would probably take me 5 years to save up for one, which would probably be the wiser thing to do. I figure I can work on my machine quilting with my Bernina and send out any big projects I have until I can get my own longarm. |
Wow!! :D All of these quilts are
just gorgeous. Each one is so pretty. Thank you for taking & sharing the picture's with all of us. :D :D :D :D |
Thank you for posting the pictures-you did a great job. Bored? Never--they were all beautiful. I couldn't pick a favorite-loved them all.

Thanks for taking the time to post all the pictures. I never get tired or bored looking a quilts.
I too would like to purchase a longarm and just can't bring myself to take the money out of the bank. I have a bank on my dresser that I have deemed my longarm fund and just throw in something every month. I have about $700 in the kitty but am still a long way off. |
OMG :!:  :!:  so many quilts, so little time. thank you so much for the quilt show. i saw several that i just have to make. i sure hope the lord gives me a long life after retirement to make at least some of the quilts on my must do list. :!:  :!:

I just saw a winding ways quilt at a quilt show in Maryland. I really want to make one out of scraps. All of the quilts you posted are beautiful and might get me out of the funk I seem to be in. :?
Thanks for posting! |
Thanks for taking me to the Quilt Show with you. It didn't hurt my knees at all. There are a handful that I would like to reach in and grab. I tried, but all I got was fingerprints on my flat screen.
|
So many of these are extraordinary! I could comment and comment, but just - thanks!
|
Thank you so much, Feline, for posting these pics. Just curious, how much dough do they want for one of those machines you are drooling over?
|
Wow What a show! Thanks so much for posting all of them. It was a thrill to be able to see so many. :-)
|
PLEASE----for anyone that reads this don't ever think you're posting too many pictures from a quilt show! Those were just amazing and the "fix" I needed, but over far too soon.
Thank you so much for taking the time to take us to the show with you. |

http://maimin.com/Innova.aspx This price included the table, rack, stitch regulator, etc. Pretty much the whole system to hit the ground running. I had taken a class using the HQ16 and played with this machine at the show for about an hour (they were really good about it!). I really liked the feel of this machine much better and it seemed to me to be a LOT more machine for the money. An HQ 16, which only has a 16" throat, with rack and accessories comprable to the Innova was around 8K. Innova also has a 18" throat model that was $8K. I really felt the Innova setup was a better value. The dealer mentioned that they got a notice from the manufacturer about a planned price increase in October and they suspected it was going to be substantial. Don't know what substantial is in their book but they mentioned in the past smaller price increases were not preceded by an announcement. Could've also been feeding me a line in an effort to make the sale. |
Thank you for sharing!

WOW those are all very nice. Love the witch perfect for this time of year.
