Just before my BIL got a job after being out for a year and a half, I asked him to build me a cabinet I found on the internet. Well, with going back to work, they told me it would be a Christmas present, but late. Not a problem. Told me it would be ready for Easter, since we are going to Michigan then to visit. Well, he just emailed me the picture of the cabinet. The first one is the picture of the Dingo Cabinet that I sent him the picture of. The others are of the one he made. First picture came out a little dark. I have the best BIL in the world. Can't wait till Easter to get it, and straighten up my sewing room.

Dandish 03-27-2011 03:45 PM

Wow! I much prefer you're over the Dingo. He did a most awesome job on it! WOwowow!

bisseau 03-27-2011 03:46 PM

What a gorgeous cabinet....worth waiting for.

Jingle 03-27-2011 03:49 PM

He did a beautiful job on your beautiful cabinet. I like the doors closing over the drawers. He did a much better job than the sample picture you sent him. Lucky you.

emerald46 03-27-2011 03:50 PM

That is wonderful! Looks like something you will really enjoy using.

Cherylsea 03-27-2011 03:54 PM

Even if he does have a job now, he might want to think about making these on the side. The one you sent him a picture of looks to be particle board and his seems to be either solid wood or furniture grade plywood. If he factors in time and materials he might be able to make money doing custom work?!

earthwalker 03-27-2011 04:44 PM

He did a fantastic job with your cabinet. Looks very well made and professional.

Mariposa 03-27-2011 04:47 PM

Wow! Wonderful cabinet! :)

BeeNana 03-27-2011 04:54 PM

Woodworking wonder.
I wonder what the shipping costs would be to my house!

Toto's Mom 03-27-2011 05:01 PM

Wow!!! If he can work that well from a photo, he should be much in demand as a cabinet maker in some of the shops here in N. TX that do work for custom homes in Dallas.
Absolutely beautiful job he did!! He should sign and date it with a woodburner, like we quilters do with labels.

Blue Bell 03-27-2011 05:15 PM

Beautiful cabinet. I love it. I want one, too.

annieshane 03-27-2011 05:16 PM

This is a fantastic project. Your BIL did a great job that exceeded the picture you sent him. Hope you enjoy it for years to come.

CajunQuilter2 03-27-2011 05:18 PM

Yours is WAY BETTER than the picture you sent for him to go by. Lucky you!!!!!!

fraydknot12326 03-27-2011 05:33 PM
