Very pretty. How mini are they? They look very small.

Next is my sq. in a sq. with the relaxed scalloped border I was aiming for that turned out so cute and chubby. Wanted something different when I drew up the template and it sure looks different. Hope you like my "relaxed scalloped border mini".

Next I want you to see my Snail's Trail that had one error on the curve but still like it anyway. Will load these singly - still have computer issues - no speed today on it. Here is my ST:

Next is the Snake in the Hollow mini. Really wanted to emulate the 30's look without going out buying all the 30's fabs just for one project so I pulled from my stash "passable, emulatable" 30's fabrics. Really like this one too!

I'll show one more. It's a hand tied one that someone said it would make a cute pillow top, so the name stuck. It's my pillow top quilt.

Fell in love w/this decorator fabric and saved it for the backside of the green heart quilt. Wish you could see the sparkle of gold in this one pc. of fab!!

Next I want to show something I really loved doing. Had finished a dbl sawtooth this summer and really needed a break from lining all those points up so got into doing these scrappy roses with yellow centers, log cabin style that took 10 min(!!!!!) per block!!! Tried to show these back in Aug. but couldn't get them to load right! What a time I've had. So here goes on those. After that, I want to show you the same quilt but did this one in "florals only". I'll post a pic of the 4 rejects that didn't make it in the quilt.

This is the border where I threw in some orphan tulip bl. for each of the corners, all different from ea other

Thanks, amma! They sure are itty bitty pcs, esp the snail's trail!

Esqmommy 10-20-2009 09:41 PM

what do you do with your minis? Do you display them? Are they gifts? they are soooo cute.

n2scraplvr 10-20-2009 09:43 PM

Let me think....they are all pp'd except grandmother's fan, did a little applique on those, no pp on that one. The scrappy roses are just "freestyling it". I believe that covers them all. Yes, I usually draw up my own pp patterns to the size I want. Thank you for your nice compliment!!! Really appreciate that!!!

Thank you, Tippy! You will really enjoy doing the minis. The quick completion is such a highlighting factor and so rewarding seeing the quick results. The bow tie is such a favorite pattern among miniaturists. Can't wait to see your final results! PM me when you post so I don't miss it!!

They bring so much joy that I just enjoy displaying them thruout the house everywhere. They are a decorator's delight because of the charm they introduce to the decor. Have sold my stuff for years at craft shows and consignment shops, but haven't done that in a long time. Am thinking of offering kits for sale of my minis at great prices because they are so much fun to put together (easy and quick). Have to feel the market out first before launching. Thanks for your interest in my minis and your nice compliment!!!

Thank you, Esqmommy! Don't know if rhonda has seen them. Somebody go get her! Her work is just phenomenal! But she designs with EQ6 and my designing is "au natural." :-)

mimee4 10-21-2009 04:56 AM
