Even with scrappy quilts there is skill or a natural ability to put colors together and you have it. Lovely job.

Nice! Thx. For tip. Will use it.

Love your quilt and colors are awesome. I've made several of these quilts, not as a beginner, but because I have so many strings in a tub that will never get used and they keep multiplying. I see no need to throw them away because I think they can turn into beautiful creations. I love scrappy and love string quilts.

That’s a great tip! I have a quilt ready to be bound that needs a little “taming” along the edges so it’s not ruffly. And your quilt is beautiful.

Beautiful quilt...mine will never turn out as pretty!

I like your quilt. It is one of my favorite blocks to make. My kids will choose a string quilt before any pieced quilt I make no matter how many hours I put in it. They all request rag quilts too. Easy for me! I keep a pile of paper by my sewing machine and sew a strip block when I get bored of what I'm sewing on. I use MSQC ten inch papers. They are much more useful then first glance. The lines are there to keep the strips straight no matter the widths starting in the center out. It is super easy to remove too. It's inexpensive. I've been using out of the same package for the last couple years.

I love string quilts. I use muslin or ugly fabric as my foundation. Great quilt!

It looks beautiful! You have some wonderful fabrics in there. I recognize some that are in my stash.

I don't post very much or very often . . . but I love this most beautiful, colorful quilt! I pray it holds it's shape and does just fine . . . for it surely should be enjoyed!
