Big Blue
 

A couple of months ago my husband was looking at some of my quilting magazines and brought me a picture of a quilt and said "I'd sure like this beautiful blue quilt on my bed!". I looked at the picture and the fabric was pink! If you hadn't guessed, he's color blind! So, I worked for a whole month getting jsut the right blues. He did the quilting on our longarm and I finished up the binding Friday. It's the first time I've used wool. It sure does show the quilting and he claims it's warmer! He wanted it wider than the pattern, so I just added fabric to the sides for the drop. I am still not sure I like this one, but he's happy with it. As with most of my stuff, I hate it when its done, the look at it a month later and love it!

Very nice. I like all the fabrics you used. What a nice modern, adult quilt it is. It is nice to see a masculine quilt and it not be a hunting or fishing theme!:D ( not that those styles aren't nice too).

I have that pattern !! That quilt had some HOT burning pink in it. I like the colors you chose. Much more soft and pleasant to look at !! Hope the hubby is tickle about having some input into this lovely quilt;s creation.

What a cool pink quilt....just kidding. It is nicely done and the quilting looks great. It usually takes me forever to bond with my finished projects. I usually question everything but the socks I make, I always like my socks :-)

I love the pattern, too. I can relate. Three of my four boys are color blind. They think pink is gray.
