Lovely so far. Can't wait to see the finished product.

Your OP made me choke up as I lost my mom many years ago and understand what this means to you. I look forward to seeing each and every block you complete.

So I try to get through the day, try working on my mom's quilt because I don't know what else to do now.

Oh, my dear. I'm so very sorry. I hope you have friends and family to help you through the coming weeks and months. Holidays are always difficult after suffering a loss...and separation is a loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I made a block today, it doesn't look straight but once in the quilt no one will notice :) It's block # 22 Grandmother's Choice.

I love this block as my grandma was central in my life.

Anael ... not quite sure what you don;'t see as straight, as it looks pretty darned good to me!
And I love Grandmother;s colours ... so pretty and fresh!

That will be a fine quilt. I also wish I could share my quilting with my mother.

QuiltE, thanks to Photoshop you don't notice anymore :D

Here's the block I made yesterday. Last Friday I hurt my right wrist very badly, yesterday I thought it went better but today I almost fainted because of the pain so no quilting for the time being :( This block needs some adjusting too when sewing into the quilt, it's a bit too big (6 3/4" instead of 6 1/2") but I don't feel like doing it again now. Maybe I will, not sure yet.

So soft and pretty ... and then the dark green HSTs to gently frame it all up!

Thanks! With every block I'm making I'm asking myself: what would my mom say about the colors I chose.

Here's the block I made yesterday. The flower center is just a tiny bit too small :(
