Great quilt! And the ruffle is adorable.

Nothing wrong with black in a baby quilt.
I've never made one without black.
Some were even mostly black.
All have been loved by mom and baby.

That's beautiful!!!

Sandy did an awesome job on this quilt! I like the use of black in it. It pulls the black out of the outer print. I have a biscuit pattern but it has always intimidated me. I would love to make one, too.

Black in a baby quilt--yes why not. It looks great. They make two year olds dresses in black. The quilt is just wonderful

That is so beautiful and I think the black is perfect. The puff quilt is on my bucket list. I have always heard that black and white things are good for the new baby eyes so I am sure it will be a favorite!!

amandasgramma 08-17-2011 09:09 PM

I love it!!!! I made one of those biscuit quilts about 16 yrs ago for my GS....in red/white/blue! He still has it! My intent was to practice with the baby quilt and then make one for my bed..............the one for my bed never got made!

Gramof6 08-17-2011 10:08 PM

I love this! Great job. Perfect IMHO. I have seen another quilt for a child or baby using 30's fabric and a black with white dots, mixed in and it was just darling! Loved it! Thank You for sharing. Beautiful quilt.
