Very nice and so much done. I'm guessing the embroidery machine does them quickly. I really have to start on my machine but just never seems to be enought time. Sue

These are too adorable! They do have a country feeling... they remind me of things they show at the Anericana area on "Antiques Roadshow". They look almost painterly. Oh, I just love, love, love them! I cannot wait to see what you do with them... or what other beauties come out of your embroidery machine. Wow!

cindy4857 06-10-2012 09:07 PM

Oh I love love love them. Your so lucky to be able to do those types of blocks. I wish I could. I don't think I'll ever be able to afford an embroidery machine. But I can hope can't I.

Jim's Gem 06-10-2012 09:41 PM

Congratulations on your new baby. I bought the Viking Ruby this past yr and I'm having a blast. I love the cutwork needles; they make doing cutwork so much easier than cutting out all of those little spaces by yourself. I did have a Viking #1; just got it back from servicing and now I'll sell it only because I can't afford two machines and I don't have space for two machines but would love to have two emb. machines. I'd also love a retreat like that. I've only had our monthly emb club where I've learned alot and then our teacher sets up special classes for things we want like cutwork and this past month the Viking Educator came and we spent the whole day with her learning 5D and made a tea towel with monogram and buttonholes and used the cutwork needles to cutout the centers and ran ribbon thru it. You did a great job.

Sandee 06-11-2012 05:46 AM

Fantastic blocks!

rootyr 06-11-2012 06:04 AM

I was undecided between the Ruby or the Diamond but since this was going to be my LAST machine I got the diamond. They are both wonderful machines. Taking classes is the key to doing great work.

SheriR 06-11-2012 06:15 AM

OH! I have a Topaz30. My girls and I are doing HoopSisters 2012 mystery quilt. We have so much fun doing it together! But I need to learn embroidery. Those are so pretty. I need the pattern. Sounds like I need classes too. I'm just so far from my dealer. ROADTRIP!

Fraew 06-11-2012 06:26 AM

Oh my gosh! Beautiful.

Happy Linda 06-11-2012 06:26 AM

That is Nice. I like to see things done on the embroidery machine. Most of the time the quilt designs seem ac ward for some reason, yours look nice.

It's great if you have a dealer close by but there are a lot of LQS that offer classes but they don't care what machine you have. We also have a sew and vac place here that have embroidery clubs and they don't care either. You may be able to do a google search or call a few places in your area but I know that here that's the way it is. My viking teacher will let anyone take the class and another Janome store is the same way. It would be great if you could find some; it really does help alot. I also read all the tutorials on line at emblibrary.com under projects and Kennys corner and any other sites that have tutorials. By doing this I've learned how to trouble shoot and fix problems that I've had while embroiderying. Good luck to you and your girls.

I got such a good deal on my Ruby; the previous owner only used it for 7 hours and I got it for 4500 with a warranty and of course classes. I promised myself after making such a large investment that I wasnt' going to let my embroidery machine go unused and even though I could use it more I'm using and learning things each month to do. Right now I'm finishing up making my daughter a mesh beach bag and a cutwork table runner. I get so amazed at the things you can do with it.

Lisa_wanna_b_quilter 06-11-2012 06:50 AM

I love the blocks! Please show us what you end up doing with them.

I'm very interested in your pattern. What is the name and where can you find it. Wonderful blocks.

northern lass 06-11-2012 12:12 PM

Lovely blocks. You achieved quite alot

justflyingin 06-11-2012 12:17 PM

Yes, I'm amazed like everyone else, how beautiful those blocks are. Is this a one-needle machine? (I didn't take the time to look up your machine..)

Great job and enjoy.
