Very pretty!!

I love how your fabrics work so well with this pattern. I've had the book for quite some time waiting to make this quilt but not sure about fabric selection. I bought 16 half yard cuts from a fabric collection a while back that I think I want to use. The only problem is 1/2 yard cuts are not enough even for the small size quilts so I'm going to vary the layout and have it run diagonal instead of "around the world". Great job.

Very pretty!! :)

Gorgeous :) I always love your quilts Dunster!

Wow! Great use of fabric placement, the way it fades from one color to the other. Ripping is always a pain but I think you made the right call. The silver thread blends beautifully on this.

celwood 03-18-2014 04:46 AM

I have made this quilt into 2 different color ways, both at the request of my daughter. It is a lot easier than it looks.

callen 03-18-2014 04:47 AM

Wow, such a beautiful quilt. Your colours are gorgeous.

tatteredgarden 03-18-2014 04:52 AM

How did you make it bigger. I made one and could not figure out how to make it large enough for my bed so I gave it to my Daughter.

Lovely quilt!
I found this pattern difficult and then went in for heart surgery so it is waiting. It is on a dinning room chair -shouting at me.
I will take encouragement from your compleated quilt. Thanks for posting,

quilterpurpledog 03-18-2014 05:51 AM

Thank you everyone for the compliments. To make the quilt bigger, just add another fabric or two to the run.

debbieoh 03-18-2014 07:23 AM

PenniF 03-18-2014 07:28 AM

That is one of the most beautiful quilts i've ever seen....i had to stare at it for awhile to see the pattern....which tho' MANY pieces is amazingly simple to create such a spectacular result. Thank you SO much for showing it to us. This is definitely on my to-do list now !

Wanabee Quiltin 03-18-2014 07:37 AM

Really pretty quilt.

ManiacQuilter2 03-18-2014 07:54 AM

What a lovely quilt you made. Your choice of fabric is absolutely delightful !! I had the pleasure of taking a quilting class from Blanche Young. I would run into her at what was my favorite store (M&L). She could pick the ugliest fabrics and make them work into a lovely quilt. So many of the quilters I had the honor of learning from!! I took a traditional wedding ring class from her. I know she would be impressed with your use of fabrics.

Caswews 03-18-2014 08:07 AM

Stunning quilt! I have the fabric for one and it is still down aways on my list. It may get bumped up after seeing your beautiful quilt!

2manyhobbies 03-18-2014 08:52 AM

Well it certainly looks like it would go together quickly....not! It is just magnificent.

joyce888 03-18-2014 08:56 AM

I know you said it went together fast but it sure doesn't look like a quick quilt. Gorgeous

MargeD 03-18-2014 09:12 AM

What a beautiful quilt-love your fabric choices.

nls 03-18-2014 09:58 AM

Beautiful quilt!

sharin'Sharon 03-18-2014 10:36 AM

Ironic that I should see this quilt today as just last evening at our quilt club Show and Tell, one of the members displayed her Blooming Nine Patch. Both are beautiful quilts and I was surprised that it was Nine Patches. Choice of fabrics DOES make a difference. Thanks for sharing.

gldwingers 03-18-2014 11:39 AM
