Blooming Cherry Blossom Ninepatch - top done!
1 Attachment(s)
The color of the photo is a bit off; it's not so orangey. More pinky.
It's so huge it goes beyond my design wall. I'm somewhat happy with it. In the future, I would definitely NOT use any fabric that conveyed "solid" or "blender" such as the celery green here. I fully understand why you use busy prints now for this pattern. The celery jumps out too much because it's too similar to a solid. I'm already collecting fabrics for the next one. Like the OBW, it's an addictive pattern because you're never quite sure what you're going to come up with. The design "emerges" (or in this case, "blooms") into existence. Very pretty, love this type of pattern.

That's just beautiful! It's so soft & dreamy looking! I love it!
Beautiful quilt. It looks like a difficult design.
Look like a blooming nine patch... nice
Love all your colors, beautiful quilt,,,
It is a blooming nine patch. It's a very easy design, actually. The most difficult part is identifying the best fabrics. Took me many months to collect the fabrics I wanted. The cutting and piecing is very easy.

Great job! Love the colors and design.
The celery is a little bit bright, but seems to blend well with the pink and green floral round closest to the center. It's beautiful! Nice job.
A great quilt. I kind of like the way the celery green frames the middle. Will have to give this a try.
Ah, but I like the celery green, it looks like a garden!!
I love it.... I even like the green kind of frames the center
Love it! The colors are great together!

Very pretty quilt. Can't wait to see the next. One.
Beautiful quilt!
I like the celery area. To me, it represents a calm area in the midst of a violent storm. it is a place for the eye to rest.

Looks bloomin' hard to me! gorgeous.

I like that !!!!

I really like the celery green as it acts as a frame and separates the busyness of the other fabrics. Nice quilt!
You inspired me to buy the book. I love the way your quilt turned out!
Beautifully done! Wow!
Very, very pretty. I am trying to get another top done so I can start on the first OBW. Can't wait.

I love that quilt, the colors are so beautiful. great work.
I agree with you about the fabric choice but it is pretty
I really love your blooming 9P. I am collecting fabrics for one, too, and when I read the directions they sounded so complicated it kind of scared me off. When I look at the quilt, though, it seems like it should not be that hard to do. I'm glad to hear you say it was easy!!!
Very pretty--great pattern!!
Absolutely beautiful!
Pretty quilt...I agree at least from the picture the green kinda jumps out but I'll bet when the quilting is done with maybe pink thread it will tone it down quite a bit. What book is this pattern?
Terrific quilt! Lovely colors as well~
Very pretty quilt. Really like the fabrics you chose.
