I think I'd like the dark green dots, then a thin gold then that GORGEOUS blue floral. Any chance of telling us the name of that fabric or maybe the maker and collection name? LOVE IT!

vickimc 04-01-2012 06:13 AM

I vote for pic 2.. I love the little spark the gold adds.

BizzieLizzie 04-01-2012 06:26 AM

Personally I love the 1st picture, darker green with white polka dots. Works well with the top. What ever you decide, it will still look gorgeous! Best wishes and please post finished quilt, would love to see what you go with in the end.

LOVE the 4th one - it totally frames the quilt and ties everything together. Beautiful job!

Don't remember when or where I bought the border fabric (been in my stash awhile).
The selvage name for the fabric is:
"Giverny" from the Classically Home Collection of Marianne Elizabeth for BENARTEX

Thank you all for responding to border suggestions and I am still not sure of which way to go with the borders. I am not usually this stumped and have given myself too many choices, LOL!!

I like the blue, green dot and then floral. It is a smooth transitions from one color to the next. Don't you just hate those brain fogs. Did you take an allergy pill and have a rest. This usually clears my brain. It was a bugger when I had them at work.

the 3rd one is really pretty!

Beautiful quilt. I really like #1. Decisions are so hard, but whatever you decide, the quilt will be lovely!

I love the first one.

glorcour 04-02-2012 05:52 AM

I like either without the gold. Just my opinion

onthelake 04-02-2012 06:03 AM

I like the first with dark green dot fabric. The floral is beautiful and ties it all togather.

nstitches4u 04-02-2012 12:23 PM

I like the first one best, but any of them would be pretty.

Jammin' Jane 04-02-2012 02:34 PM

I like the 1st one!

MaggieMeg 04-02-2012 02:53 PM

Blue, green dot, and floral, as to not take away from the center.

LauraJJ68 04-02-2012 03:04 PM

Beautiful quilt, I like #4.

QandE2010 04-02-2012 05:00 PM

I like the last one the best. It just ties all the colors together. However, I'd use the rule that I was taught "on my mother's knee". erally the narrowest border would be closest to the center working out to the largest on the edge. By the way, the floral blue is a gorgeous piece of fabric and will look awesome in your quilt.

MarySews 04-02-2012 05:40 PM

Ditto on the 4th oe, pop of gold is great, nice contrast.
