Just finished this today and then washed and dried it. I enjoyed making this quilt and will probably not be the last one. Since I have washed and dried it, now it looks all crinkley with an older look. Guess I should have hung it out in that hot hot sun today to have it fade too. Done my own novice quilting on this one. Thanks for looking.

I'm glad you didn't hang it in the sun. Fading will happen - but some fabrics react more than others and your beautiful combination of blues could have suddenly looked very different than you were looking for. I've had a couple, over the years, just totally change their palette in that case and have been so disappointed. Graceful fading - like aging well - takes time.

What a great idea! I love blues, and this gives me ideas for my first Dresden plate, when I get around to it. Yours is VERY pretty! I love it! I'm glad you did not fade it, too. That will happen in time enough as it is, by washing and use. Again, Beautiful quilt!
