I know I talked about this in chat several times and it's been one heck of a long time getting it done but here it is.

I took close up of the blocks so you could see them better so bear with me on up loading them. There are 18 pictures.

One last remark I forgot to add. This is Christmas present for my 14 yr old GD so I plan to put a note in with it that reads:
"This is the only man you are allowed to snuggle up and sleep with"

She has such a good sense of humor I know she will laugh her butt off.

this measures about 83 x 70

That's incredible! Hoorah for Bob Marley! Love the twisting on the photo "frames". Does your GD get to disregard the note when she's about 40?

Love love love your quilt. How did you get the pics to lay so flat. I made a memory quilt for my daughters and used stop fray as suggested and iron on fusing paper , and they still are kind of coming up from the blocks. Any suggestions? Blessings, Georgia

I can only imagine how thrilled your grand daughter is going to be when she sees this quilt. Does she have any idea this is on it's way into her Christmas stocking? She may faint. This is one absolutely awesome quilt. I love every piece of it, the fabrics, photos, pattern, just everything. She will never forget the feeling she has when she opens this. So special.

All pictures were printed on fabric. Then I cut them out and pieced the blocks as normal, well as normal as I could LOL

As I was glimpsing at all the new entrees quickly this morning, I took a double-take on this one! It is so creative and thoughtful! I find each of the blocks so interesting and a wonderful gift for your gd. Had to laugh at seesaw2mch's thoughtful question about disregarding the note at 40! haha -

llong0233 12-14-2010 06:03 AM

You captured the essence of Bob Marley in the colors and shapes of the blocks. Looking closely at each block I can see the love and imagination put into this, well, masterpiece. On some level it's more than a quilt. If you can figure out how, I hope you consider sending these photos to Bob Marley's relatives. I'm sure they would love to see it. There might be a fan club site that could point you in the right direction. Congratulations on a beautiful quilt and job well done.

Sewlmatesister 12-14-2010 06:33 AM
